Eroha, nice work making pics out of my video. Looks cool.

Photos from Christmas day

Shanghai Tower can be easily seen from about 10 kilometres away in the Xuhui district.

I'm patiently waiting to see what the Shanghai Tower's lighting system is capable of once the testing is complete. So far, it ranges from tacky to incredible. Whatever the result, it stands now as the most insane lighting I've ever seen on a skyscraper.

So I heard there will be a fireworks show for New Year. Anyone coming to either Lujiazui or Waitan, would be nice to see some forumers around the second tallest building in the world to celebrate.

If they fill the hole how would wind get to the turbines to spin them?

I just looked on the internet all the news sites about the fireworks on New Year Shanghai Tower this news, but nothing could not find any information, I think it will be as secret information for visitors and residents of Shanghai, I think that the staff of the Shanghai Tower want to make a surprise for the city for the new year, and maybe even fireworks will not be.

So which will be the next (significant) addition to the skyline of Pudong?
Or has the ST ended the skyscraper boom for the time being?

Shanghai officials say that once they are no longer plans to build more skyscrapers above Shanghai Tower.
But Shanghai has a utopian project a mile high for future overpopulated city super tall skyscraper called Extopia.

Complete information Super tall skyscraper called Ectopia there below.
http://laurasian.net/2013/07/14/tren...ly-reverseble/
Shanghai is facing a double crisis: overpopulation and urban sprawl. The Chinese are in a race against time, no matter how fast they build, so the city can implode. Under this growth crushing, the Shanghai economy, the health of its people, and the stability of the cities, everyone is the same side of the scale. The solution could be to build the highest tower in the world - with more than a mile high ground level, would be the first in the world. But to build it, engineers will have to overcome incredible obstacles and revolutionize the way we build skyscrapers ... elevators without cables would have to be invented, farms that grew inside the building and windows that allow breathing and think for themselves.

I've seen this pair of escalators before - nowhere else have I seen escalators out in the open air where they can be exposed to rain, etc. I wonder how they ensure they will keep working even if they get rained on.

I wonder when they will start putting in the trees on top of the mechanical/reinforced levels?

Nope, the actually built one looks way better. The pyramidal structure is a) 6000 years old b) boring. The actual design is innovative.

The exutopia is ridiculous...
