I paid £ 49 = € 65 to go at the top of the Shard last month and paid € 15 = $ 16,93 to visit the Ji Mao Tower in September 2014. To go inside the Shanghai World financial center they wants € 28 = $ 31, so I think that the Shanghai tower will cost more than it.

I think during winter night time, the lights on top of Jinmao actually do creates clouds from their heat output.

Odd.....I got prices from their official site. Of course I believe what you say.
Very likely ST will cost more that SWFC, but I'm pretty sure will cost less than the Shard, let's say something around 40 €.
The Shard isn't the tallest skyscraper, but is one of the most expensive worldwide!

Don't quote me on this but I believe it's just natural that the wind goes in different directions near the coast, due to different air flows over land and ocean

It is expensive, but only silly Chinese people and clueless tourists do this. Alternatively I know that for the bottle opener you could visit the observation deck for free if it was your birthday.

What you're supposed to do (for the World Financial Centre at least) is go through the main hotel entrance and take the elevator up to the tea room or the bar. Both are high up, the bar being the highest floor before the observation deck I believe. You get a good view and just have to pay for a drink or two. In other words 180 RMB vs 100 RMB and two drinks.
Oh, and the elevator to the observation deck almost always has a long queue, but not so for the hotel.

Only thing is that some may feel not too comfortable messing about with a DSLR camera in a bar.
