I think it's a new technique they're using. Saves from having to dig since this building isn't going to have anything underground, their going to start building straight from ground level maybe.

i can see the round floors through the skin. but its the souter skin shape ill have to model up.

thanks zorg. so its essentially a triangular tower with curved corners and tapers and twists as it rises. wow.
ive scaled elevation. looks like its 77m wide at base and 41m at top.
the basements levels are 26m deep and reach 182m wide!
i can see highest level is about 565m high?

Doesn't look like a temporary structure to me. Maybe it is part of the podium they are going to use for some purpose during construction?

Hey, thanks for the post. By the way, I'm kinda new to these building/ construction subject so im not too sure about this, but why are all comparisons made with the empire state building?. Ive seen a lot of comparisions with other towers as well and they are all compared to the empire state building as well. I mean, they could have used taipei 101 or sears tower or the petronas for example. Would you know what significance the ESB has with buildings in general? Thanks for your help
