Woops! I thought he referred to the small buildings u/c on the shanghai tower plot.

Haha, maybe he did? As I said, I wish he would have been more specific with his request.

Exactly...That wall is the slury wall...

Supposedly if there would be a super tall built then there it should be about 100 m taller than SWFC to match the height poroportion of SWFC and jinmao. the three can allude to a stairway to heaven...

After watching the youtube video understand now. The foundations will definitely take a while. I wonder how many piles they need for this one, and how deep, because the Shanghai Tower is taller than the other two. also I wonder how the weight would compare to the other two as well.

The world trade centre is built directly on the Manhattan Bedrock isn't it? so the WTC wouldn't have the piles, or at least to the same extent.
But they would both have the wall around the construction site.
One thing I don't get is the term 'former' WTC, because it is still the WTC, and are still using the same 'bathtub' aren't they?

It's all going to look a bit concentrated on that block with Jin Mao and SWFC.

Looking at this diagram, it seems that the highest occupied floor in the BD isn't actually that much higher than the 'roof' of the Shanghai Tower.

Tier 15 = 565, which is the same as the observation deck in the Shanghai tower, and there is '3x boutique office levels x 4.8m', which means the highest floor is only 9.6m higher in the Burj Dubai.

As far as the foundations go, I might try using similar 'foundations' in my latest engineering project at uni.
It involves building a tower as high as possible, and with the smallest possible footprint, and building it on Jelly! (Jell-O)
The structure also has to be strong enough to hold 5-6 eggs at the top, which is where the height is measured from!
because the structure has to be at least 10mm away from the edge of the pottle, I might try putting in 'piles' that don't quite touch the bottom, attaching a 'foot' on the rod that would sit on the surface of the jelly.

ahhh, haven't see SWFC baby for long...

But imagine how much weight of 3 towers the ground beneath have to resist for centuries.
