Seems like they're preparing the slurry wall around the foundations.

Quite the opposite. They need to dig down so they can build the slurry wall. Remember, this site is basically over a swamp. By the end of the year, I'll wager they'll be about 70-100 feet underground.

No, 600m according to a recent release. Other sources claim it will be 450m~. Likely to be under redesign anyway. The developer is a big loudmouth though, so I wouldn't expect much from them.

TJ may have two. Yujiabao Supertall in Tianjin will be 500-700m. It's being designed by SOM

Is not for sure it will be a "ultratall" (+600m), those projects will or not be build, but they are "ultratalls". Shenzhen International Trade Center either will have 600m, or it will be completly redesigned, I don't think that design can be downsized. (the other 3 designs can be downsized to 500m, without problem)

Well, that design for the SITC is 500m. They raised the height to 600m a few weeks ago, but we don't know if they kept the former design (I don't think they did).

Is a new "trend" : propose a 500m tower, raised the height to 600m, then cancel it...
