Great pics and info. Now we know how deep the hole goes... 31.1 meter my god that's deep! Guess we'll see digging for quite some time..

Hi all.

Thanx Kix.

I have that siteplan already. Great info on the excavation dimensions. An elevation print or drawing shows the structure from the side so the levels can be seen.

Nice shot from 04 12 02 (yr-mo-dd). The site used to be a driving range ? The shot also shows the SWFC excavation - the second great building in this trio.

Huh, I didn't know the SWFC had a circular foundation.

i will summary a recent article in the news, the foundation of shanghai center consists

- a hole 121m in diameter, 31,1m in depth with 5 underground levels
- 955 poles with each 86.05m in depth and 1m in diameter
- 66 x underground wall (is that the slurry wall everyone is talking about?) width 1.2m and depth 50m
After reading this post and seeing the pics, it looks like those short cement walls won't be any part of the tower. With a hole that deep these should disppear. They don't even follow the final shape of the tower.

Here is a labelled version - I think I have it right. As I posted yesterday - the site looks to have been a golf driving range ?

Thanx kix. I have those too.
Yes those renders are close to elevation drawings but most are 2D and include some labelled levels, etc.

This project is gonna be great to watch as we get to see the early foundation work right through the structure rising.

Sad, this was going to be my favorite building ever, if constructed. But sadly canceled. :(
It would of been 655m tall or 2184 ft tall. Location would of been of course Dubai.
