chicago has no game, even with the spire thing, and what about midtown, lower part dont have room for another 600. and thers also a lot potential for ChongQing,GuangZhou,Macau, and India or Vietnam, though I dont think these 2 could have anybuilding close to our china's in a seeable future

I don't have any doubt whatsoever that both India and Vietnam will build a lot of supertalls in the near future. You probably won't see supertalls popping up everywhere like it is the case in China, but expect to see lots of them in Mumbai, Hanoi, Ho-Chi-Minh-City or Bangalore.

wow 16 pages and still no final design or height... I think most of the proposed towers look really nice, and i prefer SOM's most.

Is there - yet - final approved design? Can anyone shed some light on how much 1 billion RMB (One of the Chinese currency) is in US$?

Central London has the highest average income of anywhere in the world and we do have one supertall which is demo status, LBT, so there.

Please define "Central London" and give us sources (oh, and "income" of institutions or individuals? Counting the queen in?). Anyway, even if it's like that, today the outlook is gloomy for many economic institutions in Britain (and western Europe in general). So investors will be wary of attempting big projects. If they didn't build supertalls in booming times, today it will be harder. The Shard is nice and is technically a supertall, but I believe people here were talking about 400+ meters buildings.
