Ofcourse if they are making another ring (and on another screen i think i can see it quite clear) the hole will be deeper.

Great shot! It's really like 6 times the size of the Pentominium's hole

I wonder how Shanghai Tower's hole size compares to the Chicago Spires. Anyone know the exact measurements of either?

I think Shanghai Tower's hole bigger than Chicago Spire's hole. if we just look at the size.

Usually with a hole that deep, they have a ramp for vehicles to move up and down, but it's not there. I wonder how the trucks move in and out? Any ideas?

I guess when the job is done the digging machines will be lifted up by a big, big crane. Trucks... I don't see any.

My estimate is Shanghai center's foundation hole is around twice the size of that of Chicago spire. so area will be ~4 times larger.

I too was freaked out when I first saw that Chicago Spire hole. Clearly most of the load-bearing was to be in the spiralling exterior skeleton. The huge hole here has me wondering if the tower's core and internal framework will be much more intense. Happily we will all find out soon!

I think dig will be finish soon, the tower will have 5 floors basements (=25 m) and any meters for the first base, piles under base must have 51 m deep according to the Asia Society's video conference.
