Today somebody opened a poll but it was closed. Again, they forgot about RTKL's proposal. I wonder why most threads I find about this project in every forum use to forget this prop, which imo is the best one.

135~ floors.

Yeah, I like this one the best too. I remember reading that the layout of Pudong is deliberately designed to be very open, unlike the rest of Shanghai, which certainly couldn't accused of not being dense enough. It's meant to be a demonstration of the modernity of the area. The US style grid system is relatively new but it has been heavily copied, and they wanted to do something new. I guess they also fear that having too many of these huge buildings densely packed, would saturate a market which already has quite a high vacancy rate.

It looks good but its not better than SOMs or the spiral render made by a Chinese firm. But its just my opinion.

By the way, the Poll Thread, which was was closed, is actually better. This thread lost its images and the author seems nowhere to be found. I would suggest to reopen that thread and close this one.

No, it is as old as any other proposal. Fans just use to miss it for no reason.

They posted around 10 renders in Skyscrapers.cn, simply AMAZING. But they were gone when hundreds of pics of ss.cn servers were ereased some months ago, what a pity I didn't save them, only this one Maybe some guy saved them, somebody should ask there

This three show us an interesting dialectic of high-rise projecting from 199... to 201...

But ICC looks better. I would prefer the design in PresidentBjork 's post.

Plus, it's so thin for a wide space. Even thinner than SWFC. I prefer a fatter / taller render.

Perhaps once the SWFC is completed some time after the final design will be announced and construction will commence. Maybe they don't want to steal the SWFC thunder...just yet...
