Hi all.

The foundations chapter of this project is near completion.
I imagine this pour will be done in a few stages given the size.
Great design - great project - great to watch from the start.

I dont think so. I believe it will be a single pour. As far as I can see they didnt divide the foundation into pieces so it should be single pour. Also, I am not aware of any previous skyscraper construction where they pour its foundation in multiple steps. we will see anyway.

i won't really go as far as it being propaganda, maybe just safety rules to follow. Most accidents in China arises because they don't follow these rules.

amazing progress ,it looks like they are sectioning up the base for pouring.will all the joins in the concrete make it weak at all ?

Hi fox.
You may be correct but some pours of this size are done in multiple stages. The Burj Khalifa was done in 4 stages.

With all the rebar that would span the joints they would be strong. It's the same as the joints on every level for the core walls.
