Great pics, thanks!

Indeed great project and great construction process. Enormous cranes and a big fat core they're building!

Good to see such a clean site. I said it also a while ago, but I guess they made a nice siteplan for the next stage so I hope to see a lot of activity soon at the site once they really start pouring and creating the first levels of the basement! Can't wait..

Yea. Looks far better from an elevated view point. I personally love the view from the 789 Nanjing Lu Bar at the top of Shimao Plaza. Another favourite is the view from the Pudong Development bank that is right down Century Ave, which allows you to view Luijiazui from the East, which many people have never seen.

These shots make those steel beams look crooked.

Seeing the progress of both, I now find it unlikely that this will surpass the Pentominium, mainly because this has a much larger site that will take a long time to fill up with materials.

They are slightly leaning inwards because the tower slowly tapers as it goes up.

I measured the hole in the google earth it is 120m width, so the tower at the bottom will be something like it.

Btw google earth has been updated, new images shows early stage of pouring.
the hole maybe 120m dia, but tower is exactly 100m. dia and 50m at top.

ive drawn diagram but still to detail shanghai tower.
i may thrown in burj dubai and SWFC for comparisons.
should be good watching these two go up!

The Pudong Skyline doesn't look so good. It needed 1 more 600m to conquer them all! (Two Towers - Lord of the Rings).
