Great, thanks for the pics! I wonder how long it takes before the next floor is poured...

Installation of scaffolding for just poured level began around month ago. So keeping in mind that now they don't need to install new supercolumns, next level will be probably poured after a month and some.

Those are some hefty chunks of steel down in the excavation! I wonder how large the individual pieces are.

Well, here you have nice perspective:

This type is the biggest one used in construction so far. On the next picture there is one laying on the ground and still is as high as human.

Very nice updates, it is progressing well since it is a very big stage before growing up above street level.

The bases always take the longest to build. As soon as its done, we can expect this to shoot upwards.

The sign is very beautiful. But why do they need to make it now when the tower won't be finished several years later and the sign may be old then.

Will they make a new sign when the tower is finished?

They need to start marketing it now so they can have tenants ready to move in right away when the building is ready. It takes some time to get such deals done.

The logo looks like a bird's eye view of the tower, however, I do not feel the logo too appealing and captivating. If it did not say „Shanghai Tower“ it could be the logo of any luxury clothes or perfume shop in any luxury shopping street anywhere in the world but it does not strike me to be outstanding enough to represent such an outstanding building. This is just my own personal opinion on the logo. Shanghai tower, once completed, will most likely be my second most favourite building in the world, so I do not care about a good or bad logo, the logo is not important for me, so if I had to open a hotel or find representative office space I would choose Shanghai Tower nonetheless and without any marketing.

Well i think it is a good logo because it is representative of the tower itself, and it looks simple and clean. Most importantly i like the font of the chinese charaters, finally for once they did not use the caligraphy chinese font thing..

I bet they will unveil a new and even better looking sign when the tower is completed. This is just a sign outside the construction parameter, the official one should be near the main entrance door when completed.

I mean, look a the railing on top of the sign, it doesn't make the sign look official.

Hi all.

Hi maldini.

The raft pour was the final foundation pour tying the 955 piles together.
That is the floor of level B5. That is the thought based on a drawing and the tie-in points on the supercolumns.

The last pour was the floor of level B4 if the concensus is correct.

Each subsequent pour will be a floor of the basement levels untill they are up to grade.
