Yes what a waste, SWFC acquired the largest plot in Lujiazui, which could have been split to build 2 400+.

Hi all.

Hi Pat.

You beat me to it.
Yes It does look like B2 (of which they are working on the floor right now) will be much taller than B3 to B5 and B1 taller yet just as the drawing posted earlier looked to me. I would hope for more prints/drawings to be posted.

On the concrete rings supporting the hole ...
I wasn't saying any levels that line up with them were anything structural.
True B3 to B5 didn't line up with the rings.
But as I posted weeks ago - it sure looks to me that the floors of B2 and B1 will be close. Of course the floor of the ground level will line up with the top ring.

The SWFC plan calls for the lots to be turned into a park. I assume the parking is there for overflow for the area (seeing as there are several uncompleted projects in the area). I'd say once ST is done the parking lot may be turned into a park.

It's because Lujiazui is severely lacking in parking, around half the buildings were designed when car ownership was limited (i.e. little demand for car parking) and the other half mostly only consider parking for their own tenants because car parking is too lower value to make it worth while building more of it. The govt is currently considering ways to solve the parking problem including using space beneath Lujiazui Park, but nothing has been decided yet. The area beside WFC will eventually become parkland but in the meantime it's a short term car parking fix.

Beautiful pictures! Though they should perhaps be moved to the Shanghai compilation thread as they have nothing at all to do with Shanghai Center (as the building is not shown in any of the pictures)

The pictures are really great..although my concern is when the Shanghai Tower is completer will it obstruct the SWFC or Jin Mao from certain views?
Would be a pity
