I don't think Shanghai needs 700m+ and 800m+ buildings "to stay competitive", but I certainly wouldn't complain if they were to build a couple of them.

Despite the fact that the tower is surrounded by 3 observation decks it is not really possible to take a decent picture of the site.

My best try. Just 2 hours old.
