@Trolls, I had to delete several off topic posts about country vs country, etc. Next time there will be bans.

I can't see what's going on. The green shit is covering it up.

Hopefully there wont't be to many non-transparent green "sh*ts" around, like it's often in China (though I can only remember buildings below 300m that were completely covered).

By all means: the core has risen a level this week - that's what we'd expected!

Technically, it's the core of the core.

I'm not too worried. There are a lot of good views from the surrounding buildings to be had.

Im fine with the green covering, its a safety precaution and they will be coming off at the end anyway. no need to worry

I love how somewhat relevant posts got deleted, yet there are still spam posts on recent pages of this thread.

Any idea why there are additional four floors of offices above the hotel? Seems like complicating things with separate lift access and such.

Which hotel brand is going to be in there?
I think Shanghai already has most of the international hotel brands.

It's a status thing. Big companies like to have the best views and the most badass locations. I imagine that those four floors have already been leased to some big company. As for the lift issue, they may use the express elevators for the observation levels (using the lower portion of an double deck elevator would seem feasible).

They haven't announced yet, but I doubt that it will be another Hyatt (even though it would be badass if Hyatt decided to buy the floors and make a Hyatt Regency out of it).
