I am excited to see this tower rising each day. When I was in Shanghai two years ago the SWFC was finished but not open to visitors yet.

Also I thought of something: I wonder if they will make the building a few feet taller just to beat the Sky Tree in Tokyo.
Compare Shanghai Tower (2073 feet) to Sky Tree (2080 feet). I would not be surprised if they find a way to add 8 feet to the height of the tower!

that seems pretty pointless what if they're just like lets add 1 foot and be taller again like whats the point of competing over that

Who cares how tall exactly it is? 600+m is tall enough to impress and design is mind-blowing enough to amaze. I think we should leave the "I am taller" sandbox games to Dubai and the likes.

core looks equal to about 15th lev of those nearby flats?
so around 45m?

ahh i never got snow in Shanghai when I lived there...
The progress on this one is great! I really can't stand that car park which surrounds SWFC, I wish they would develop it into street level restaurants/shops and a small park!
