maybe but between jin mao and swfc is doesn't look so good.100m too tall...

IMO its too tall it would dwarf beasts of towers ( Jin Mao and SWFC) .... this wont be a good decission

Can Shanghai even build a 800+ scraper? I mean, the whole city is built on mud and there will also be lots of problems with the heavy monsoon winds.

yes, but it would take a couple of years to get the foundation just right. but in the ling run it wouldnt look good. like Ember-To-Ashes said a 608m tower would be good there

Ok. I guess they'll have to have like 160 meter long poles in the ground and so on. Must be very expensive! I don't think they'll buld higher than 600 meters in Shanghai.

not only that i'm thinking it will be under 610m, i'm going with that # cuz i've seen sites never mentions anything over 610m. and this article even mentioned it being under 600m

What are the chances the most god awful second rate design gets chosen alas the case with so many other competition designs?
I'm banking for a a height of anything exceding 580m, anything below 550m or round my post count may as well not get built. There needs to be a huge margin between the differing heights going from Jin Mao/SWFC and the New Shanghai Center. SWFC is at least 71m taller than it's predecessor, it wouldn't be illiogical to have a building 70m taller than SWFC to balance it out evenly. Easier said than done, hey.
