Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that the boxy design is by KPF and the other one is by IM Pei. Both are several years old though, who knows if they are really building one of those.

Yeah, too many boxes already for this side IMO. Another problem that I have noticed is that this side of Pudong has too many residentials and its the side thats facing the bund, ie most noticed side. The other side has a lot more classier towers, however, the fact that its not facing the bund means that it will be hidden from the public most of the time.

Why? Is something major planned to happen next week?

Hi all.

I see the signs are indeed level markers. Nice to see they are putting them on all the sides of the core. We won't have to guess what level they are working on or on what level a topic of discussion is being done.

The excavation perimeter is slowly disappearing. We could see some top down action on level B1 going on outside the perimeter over the last few weeks. I presume they will continue down using the existing holes they left in the ground level concrete for dirt removal ?

I guess they decided that selling those luxury condos with bund views was more important than making a better view from the bund.

They could have built some office towers or part office towers/ part hotels like Jin Mao, maybe not as tall, but 150-200 m is certainly fine right? Maybe a few lower rises making only 100m would have made the area look a lot more commercial. If you actually look at the lands, Shanghai \tower is actually quite close to the river

I wish X3-2 was taller。It looks tiny compared to Shanghai Tower (which in that render looks amazing!)

I'm pretty sure X-32 will be the upper one, how could the second one has four cores, think about it.

Yesterday they blasted the initial diaphragm wall with a big bang, which obviously terrified some workers from the nearby towers who unfortunately miss the warning...
