I haven't been by the site, but I'd assume that it has. The Chunyun (Spring Festival Travel Period) has begun, and I can only assume that a lot of the workers on this site are migrant workers who will be heading back to their home villages and regions.

I really doubt such a huge project will pause during Chinese new year, in fact i think last year (or should i say this year) during the new year the site was still running.

unless the construction company witholds wages to force workers to stay... during spring festival the site will almost certainly close down (some of you might remember "mirae ass" on the side of a certain building after work stopped before the "et" could be put on), it's the weeks after spring festival when there are worker shortages, there are often a lot that return home, unless they have to come back to get unpaid wages...

Forgive my ignorance, but what was the green stuff that they had around the core the past few weeks that theyve been removing? Does it reinforce the core or something?

Probably just a scaffolding while they did the core work. Nothing structural at all.

I'm totally fascinated to see the angles at which the super columns are being placed. They don't appear to be set at entirely 90 degrees vertical. I'm stoked to see how that pans out as they grow. This building is a blast to watch.

HUGE thanks to all who are contributing pics!!!
