Yeah, true that. But IMO the clock tower is so ugly I don't even want to compare it to the Shanghai Tower.

Same, plus the base isn't really part of the actual "tower" perse. 601m is so weak anyways

The Jin Mao, SWFC and Shanghai Tower "spiral" of sorts will look really outstanding. One tower will lead up to the other until you reach Shanghai's new gem. As much as I love really tall towers I find buildings like CN Tower (see I'm not biased), BK and the clock tower in Mecca all kinda stick out like sore thumbs. As beautiful as they are, its the works that harmonize with the surroundings that always captivate me the most. That's why this is definitely my favourite project right now.

Pff no way man. If there is a famous tower in Asia that is resembling 30 Hudson in some way, the IFC in Hong Kong comes sort of close... (at least a lot closer then the Shanghai Tower )

Both were done by Cesar Pelli & Associates, by the way.

Pelli recycles that design a lot. It"s also being used for 15 Penn in NY and the the Costerna Center in Santiago.
