According to Mr. Gu Jianping, the manager of Shanghai Tower, there will be an underground pass from Shanghai Tower to subway stations (Line 2 and planned Line 14). That underground pass will also connect Shanghai Tower with IFC, Jinmao and SWFC.

The PDf is very informative and has been posted here previously. The drawing in it can be zoomed to the extreme.

Hi James.
I don't have any info on the sequence. I'm not sure what your saying but the top is open for the cranes to drop anything in.

Ray.
Wow, that's just awesome. I'm even more excited about this than I was, and I was very excited to begin with!

Here's an overlay I produced from two photos on the previous page:

Um, yes, i'd like insurance for, exterior window cleaning, up to, a, 128 floors. LOL this is nuts. I just read about this one. Not only is it over 2000 feet it has over 4 million sq feet of space. That's nuts. That's way more than the burj dubai. And what's all this about 1.8 million sq feet below grade. That's even nuttier. How many basement floors does it have?

I only have insurance up to 70 floors, and that's a lot, it was hard to get. Just enough ro cover everything in miami.

Really I'm curious to know how they plan to wash this building. It's not just it's height and the issue of where to find 650 meter ropes but it's its constant twists and turns that will make it a unique challenge. I'm sure they have some special, proprietary method planned for it and it won't be the average Joe Washer doing it.

Man judging by those pics they better hurry up if they want to complete it by 2014. And a partial opening in 2012, I doubt it.

This one is special though isn't it. I don't suppose the chinese will let anything stop them from completing it.
