Also, emerging megacities around Shanghai such as Hangzhou, Suzhou and Wuxi will be hotbeds of supertall development. We're already starting to see some massive projects planned for those areas.
With the eastern(?) expansion of Lujiazui, there will be more 200+s adding to Pudong, but its just that you wont be able to see it from this view.

edit: i just saw staff's comment lololol

I reckon that the redevelopment of the EXPO site will see a portion of that area developed into a new CBD, so perhaps we will see some more supertalls there? Maybe they will build one taller than Shanghai Tower there...

I agree. I find especially the the ones with blue roof annoying. Hopefully these areas will be cleared and transformed into new high rise blocks soon.

Haha, I live right next to those. Actually, I'm looking at them right now from my bedroom window. And I quite like them. When you drive across the river from Puxi to Pudong (on the Nangpu Bridge) and turn around to look at Lujiazhui, they really stand out. It looks like a lake in the middle of the city. Very imposing.

by the way, in nordschleife's update, you can clearly see the floors above the metal brace (about halfway the the building) are quite a bit smaller than the floors below it. the first eight floors or so are probably about 18 feet floor to ceiling. the ones above look to be the standard 12 to 14 feet.

if tokio would have a good system there would be no use for policemen who push the persons into the .....

Sorry, nord. I like you as a poster because you provide awesome updates and seem to know more about this building than I do BUT...

I can say whatever I wish. And it is, in fact, the truth. So there.
