it twists. arabia loves twisting towers, they can't get enough of them.

i'm just saying, if shanghai builds another of the world's twisting towers, it's not going to be as impressive as it could have been

@kix, that one is Gensler's, it's the one which looked far above 700m in some renders

My favourites are those by RTKL, Gensler and Foster. SOM was ok too.

The first one is RTKL's, you can see it has around 140 floors. The second one I don't know, but it looks cool too, so industrial.

yeah chicago have jumped on the bandwagon too. that type has more symmetry and order, sets it off a bit from the half turns

some actions on the site

there must be something going on at the site, here's a news report saying an gas pipe exploded yesterday while workers trying to tear down some temporary shops around this lot, 5 people suffered non life threatening injuries, and a door to the nearby Jin Mao was smashed by the shock wave.
