Eric is that picture of the glas facade from something like a test place? Or is it just an exposition?

So after this curious tower gets built, there is no way to see the full tower of Jin Mao or SWFC in between the two sets of apartments, sigh. I don't like how the towers near the river are so tall sometimes, it covers the three supertalls and the ones behind them

I'm pretty sure it's the one that I posted. Look at the site, the building has four cores, just as the render shows.

The one posted by Nordschleife is the final design for X3-2. The construction company in charge of the X3-2 base uses the same design

This reminds me that we still don't have a thread for this project due to lack of necessary information... what a mysterious project

I am glad they those the box design, otherwise it will become another Ping'An and steal too much attention from Shanghai Tower.

I just posted that picture yesterday. It's interesting that the photostream is under a CC 2.0 license. I uploaded the construction photos to Wikipedia, there were only 2 and the newest is January when just the core was there.

It's called Cheung Kong Centre. X3-2 is the name of the land plot. Dunno what that Pei Partnership one is, probably one of the losing bidders. KPF designed the tower, not on their website yet though.

Yes, it's bad. Some cities have it worse than others. And some days are worse than others. Shanghai's is average by Chinese standards, which basically means it would be considered hazardous anywhere else. I will say there has been a appreciative reduction in the air pollution in the seven years I've been here, but it's still way, way behind the developed word.

Today and yesterday were exceptionally bad in Shanghai. Visibility was down two about 1/2 mile all day and the sun was a faint, glowing disc in the sky...at about 2:00 in the afternoon!
Stop writing false reports on Shanghai, winter is just ending and obviously some days are still dark and gloomy, and on top of that the last few days have been extremely shiny! I do not understand what is behind your illogical hatred towards China but if you're going to make a criticism at least make it constructive.
