They are lucky this area is not under the earthquake like that part of Japan.Anyway I know these building are earthquake-proof so no problem at all.I hope things dont change in future to bring damage to this city.

Wow, this tower is insanely huge. There's a guy standing at the top in front of the second left column, right next to the "7".

The core is the size of a highrise in its own right!

Hi all.

Great update.

The top down work on the lower levels outside the excavation circle looks to be at least 2 levels deep throughout the site.
Most likely deeper than that but we can't see.
The plans show 5 lower levels almost the size of the entire site.

Ray.

Well it would be nice to give him the benefit of the doubt but...from what he's posted so far he seems like a fake! 'High profile foreigner'

When I'm in Shanghai this summer I will go and take some photos of this beast and other constructions around the city! Any requests?

We need more of the Bund tower... shots of that would be nice. For Lujiazui, get some from the East... its rather rare to see a picture of the cluster from the back side, normally all you get is shots from the Bund and other areas of Puxi, or cheesy shots from the Pearl tower.

You can never underestimate the number of elevators any building needs to be convenient. Does anybody know how many service elevators it will have?

Does anyone know what the building under construction in the background to the left of the ST in #7241 is?
I used to work about 100m from there and still have an interest in the old 'hood...

Could you check out if there's any progress happening on the Lujiazui Shipyard Redevelopment Phase II site? Much appreciated.
