Hi all.

Let's just hope the opportunity to use commercial planes as a weapon is a thing of the past.

The top form will soon be high enough for the next crane supports at level 18.
Looks like they will be every 5 levels - 8, 13, 18 ...

The belt truss is coming along nicely.

Ray.

Not to change the topic, but it looks like the building across the street is finally rising.

I can't believe how quickly ST is rising! Cranes will jump again soon.

I know we don't know the final design of X3-2 but is there a dedicated thread for it yet? It is well underway in terms of construction now!

When the cranes jump up to the next platform, does anybody know how it's done? Do they use the two adjacent cranes to the one being raised to hoist it up?

im not really sure what kind of cranes are these but most cranes used in tall towers ( kangaroo cranes) use hydraulic jacks at the base to raise it. other cranes hoist sections of the crane through a slot present usually beneath the control room of the crane

It seems they are using the first method you mentioned.
Currently there are two (yellow) clamps or brackets.
First they install a new clamp a few stories above the higher clamp.
So temporarily there are three clamps.
Then they use hydraulic jacks at the lowest clamp to push the bottom of
the crane to the middle clamp, then fasten it, then remove the lowest clamp,
and so on.
