I think they really want to accentuate the innerworkings especially at night.

I think the whole point of transparent double-skinned facade is to be transparent and not dark or reflective.

+1 a darker outer cladding would totally hide the inner one.

The sample of the cladding outside looks for sure very transparent, but I am still pretty much sure that reflections will make it lose transparency during day time when watching from far.

There are tons of example like this where architects promised glass to be transparent and final results showed that it was not after all.

I don't quite see the point of your remarks. Someone has posted a couple of sharp clear images and went to the trouble of trying to contribute something to this thread. I, for one, thought the photos presented a dramatic appearance of the project and I appreciate the effort. Various styles of photography just make reading through this thread all the more interesting.

I think he meant the HDR effect.
Personally, I'm not a fan of it either. Makes everything look so artificial.
But nevertheless those are great pics, especially the second one. Thanks!

If the first image was used to represent SWFC in the supertall competition, it would have gotten a lot further. Its an awesome image that truly represents what SWFC looks like.

I like photorealistic HDR - HDR that looks like a normal photo except for it brings back the areas where a normal photo would have been over exposed or under exposed (e.g. sky in this case).

I dislike surrealistic HDR, especially when you have those HDR only effects like having glow edges.. just hate it.

I thought its just a bit of waste merging HDR just for a building under construction :p

This is the whole point of using hdr. Unfortunately most people don't get it and use it to overkill photos.
