Great great update. In a couple more years, we'll be able to look down on SWFC from this thing just like we look down on Jin Mao from SWFC. I wonder what that'll look like...

This building will be more than a skyscraper in one year's time!

When will it surpass Jin Mao and SWFC in height?

I predict it'll pass Jin Mao in about October 2012 and SWFC in February 2013.

Maybe I'm just too excited for that though ^.^

Post your predictions when you think Big Brother will be taller then it's little brothers

The tower is meant to be structurally finished in 2013? Bearing in mind it would take months just to construct the crown, i would say it would surpass SWFC late 2012.

Btw what is the explosion for?

I guess this is the curve that will be all the way up to the crown, is it?

^I'm think they just don't have the horizontal curved steel set yet, because I always thought the V-notch was just part of the facade :/

Yea the curves and the shape of the tower all come from the facade.

Yes, 4 is the unlucky number in China - sounds like 'death'. Eight is the luckiest number in China.

And 5188 is the best number combination. So perhaps one day China will build a supertall at 5188 feet?

Updates looking great, btw.

Hi all.

Thanks to Nord for emailing me the full section drawing of this project - awesome. Not sure what the trouble with Filedropper was (for Nord) but I find you can't use the forum embed code. I just use the link (to share with anyone). Filedropper is good because it retains the original size - up to a 5 GB file.

Here it is for anyone interested.

http://www.filedropper.com/plansection_1

Plans / prints / drawings are good for any project - can never have too many ...

Ray.
