Nice pics everyone. This thread now has 421 pages. So now the Shanghai Tower thread has the same number of pages that the Jin Mao Tower has meters

Hi all.

Yes - great updates all.
As updaters, giving us all a way to 'watch' this thing grow, you need not compare your shots to others - ALL pics are worth posting.
Keep up the good work.

They have jumped the core form another level exposing level 27, where the next crane supports will go - crane jumps coming soon thereafter. The second belt truss pieces are appearing all over too.

Great progress on a fantastic project.

Actually those towers aren't empty at all (except 21st Century and Taiping because they haven't finished inside decoration yet). Those pics above are from Saturday evening - not the usual working time.
The vacancy rate in Lujiazui isn't very high (about 7%). Most of the new buildings (e.g. IFC twin towers) have strong pre-leasing activity.

wonderful progress so far. does anybody have an idea as to when cladding should start? i am really excited to see it begin

The cladding will begin after completion of annex, and contruction of annex will begin on February,2012.

It kind of sucks that this amazing tower (and by extension, SWFC) will never be landmarks by themselves, unlike Jin Mao was. They will always be landmarks as the Three (or currently Two) Brothers. Just random ideas :P
