What a stunning supertall trio this is going to be. ST by its own is an incredibly beautiful skyscraper (judging from current renders anyway) but along with SWFC and Jin Mao it is going to be something totally out of this world.

Yea the skyline is already unique and distinguishable. Each one of them is an icon (the trio and other buildings near by).

The reflective glass of SWFC is pure awesomness. I feel kinda sad for the poor SWFC. Such an awesome design and it will be dwarfed by ST. But ST is an awesome design by itself so it isn't really a problem. The only problem is the ugly Jin Mao Tower

Well, I don't like Jin Mao just as I don't like the Petronas because theylook kinda like having thorns on them

But back to ST. I think this will become the most famous complex of skyscrapers in the world. It will have the same ammount of fame as the destroyed Twin Towers had. I really can't think of an existing or under construction complex that would be more epic than this one

I agree on the epicness of this trio and I also agree on the epicness of the destroyed twins and I have to add that, despite pure glass awesomeness new WTC complex introduces, it's a mere shadow if the real WTC. Back then, when the twins were still standing, you couldn't help but acknowledge them as real world trade towers. Now the new world trade center is in China and I don't mean any specific buildings. The old twins impersonified the might & magic of the US. The new complex is so tacky that I cannot accept it as anything else than just a showout.

Judging by the span of construction photos these latest months, does anyone else agree that the sky of Shanghai is miraculously blue almost everyday?

Yes, I've noticed, but if you compare with Shanghai 5 years ago its much more clear now than before. I hope the new river project will clean up the river aswell, and then perhaps Shanghai will look really fresh in the not so distant future.
