Oh wait, nevermind,in Lujiazui there arent any shops on the street
I don't know why some consider "walkable" to be lined with narrow sidewalks and narrow streets lined by shops. I haven't been to Shanghai but judging from photos Lujiazui is rather similar to Shenzhen in its approach to planning. And walking in Shenzhen was one of the best walking experiences I've ever had. Spacious sidewalks lined with trees and bushes are certainly much better in terms of "walkability" than narrow stressful pavements you will get to see in London and many other old cities. That is certainly not an example to follow in order to create a walkable environment. I think we need to look from a rationalized and practical point of view instead of "hey, but there it's like that and it's better". I'm happy the planners of Chinese cities do not stick to the "trendy" post-modern ideas which have infested some of the Western cities and instead go for something that is practical and convenient. Once Paris did that too...

Is it just me or did they clear the second truss a good deal quicker than the first? Might just be me, or they knew better what to do this time around (which is nice, it could mean the other seven or so might go more quickly too).

Also, the first truss has to tie into the postament, but the later ones are clean in the tower.

How is the building of the postament going?

Now that two sky lobby / truss sections are almost done, this means they can start on the outer framework? Or will they clad the inner circular part before starting on the outer triangle shape?
