Nice video, although the five-part split screens annoy me to no end.

Any guess as to when this beauty will start to get some cladding?

They said this is a proposal for the Skyline Mansion Phase 2 plot, next to Shanghai Tower. I don't believe it.

@zOrg

Let's hope you're wrong.
That would be such an improvement to Phase 1.

I agree with you.
This building will fit very well into the skyline of Lujiazui, especially next to the Shanghai Tower because of its round shape and the clean glass facade
Let's hope it will get build one day

Could someone please tell me where is Pudong and Lujiazu? I know they are in the main cluster but I don't understand the difference... or in which order are this areas located.

A little map would be helpful.

Lujiazui:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lujiazui

Pudong:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pudong

So Pudong is the big area the size of a big city (1000+ sq. km) while Lujiazui is just a small district (32sq. km) which is the main business district with all the skyscrapers.

I found this using Google in about 25 seconds, btw.

Some of the apartment blocks in Lujiazui are already the most expensive in Shanghai per square meter (if not the whole of China), so it only seems fitting that the pinnacle of Chinese homes should be this unique.

Ray.
i know, but for shanghai tower it is more like a crown than a spire. its not like it has a spire thats extremely thin and long.

Shanghai has so little supertall activity, I'll never understand why.

Those two towers are looking great but I don't dig the bridge in between them.

Probably because it doesn't need the status quo like many other of the country's cities are aiming to achieve. Probably a fake but would yes, I agree with Z0rg. I'm shocked to see you posting in a Shanghai thread Z0rg :-D

Thanks mate. I thought both pudong and lujiazu were financial districts/developments.
