I count around 48 floors in Nordschleife's picture. It's not even halfway completed and it will already be one of the tallest buildings in Austin if it were here.

I understand it's an unfinished area so I'll just sit back, relax and see what they will create with this area. They're doing a pretty damn good job so far.

If I'm not mistaken the next step is to build the third belt truss... am I?

Good to see this tower rise. When completed, will it be the second tallest of the world? Hopefully this won't be the last megatall in Shanghai. This city is destined to beat Dubai in height.

burj khalifa is simply unbeatable. though most towers beat it with the looks and shape, but not the height

Hehe. Well, we'll see. Back in 2007 mainland China had literaly no projects taller than the SWFC (492m). And I mean not even proposals. Now we have 36x500m-707m projects in China. 888m will come soon or late, I bet we'll see that one approved before 2020.

It's getting really close to the third belt truss, a certain member of this forum is getting really nervous.

I think what zOrg meant is that it's just a matter of time before the Chinese build a tower with their ultimate lucky number as its height.

Cities have different destinies, perhaps Shanghai is not very interested in beating Dubai.
