Well, economy growth is costly, environmentally speaking. I remember last time I flew to the Yangtze River Delta region, I can clearly see a thick brownish-orange haze covering the whole region like a carpet on the plane during descend.

Of what?

The top of the tower is at 632 m, so half-way to the top is at 316 m, which the tower has not reached.

When shall the construction of the 4th truss belt begin?

Here is a curious thought of mine: why can we hardly see any large number of workers in those pictures?

I only spot a few workers here and there. Even on the cladding installation platform, there aren't many workers. One would think a mega project like ST should have workers all over the place. I wonder how many workers are on the site during an average shift?

Well there's an obvious answer to that, of course. They're ninjas.

It's a very large structure, they're inside it and around it but are hard to spot from a distance.

I can't help but think, with the amount of building materials this building uses, a building with twice the floor space could have been built. The carbon footprint must be huge. But China never has been too concerned about the environment, not when it gets in they way of progress. Lets be honest, its a ***** extension.

I thought they were making the Shanghai Tower environmentally friendly?

I havent been in this thread in weeks, and its a monster already.

Soon they should start to build the outer steal skeleton for the second cladding layer. I am curious .

I think they'll first finish the glass on this section. After all they will most likely use these mobile rail cranes to transport it, and as long as these cranes stays on current truss belt next section can't start.

is this thread just attracting trolls or summat? Was that another racist post ad nauseum that we have to put up with on this so-called international site, or does it actually mean something in some language?
