Exactly!! I'm from England and we use Feet and Inches here too, but it's really not difficult to work out that if a building is 300 metres then that is around 1000ft...

What precisely is a supertall?

A building taller than 300 m/984 feet, or a building taller than 1000 feet/304,8 m?

24 hours/7 days per week construction sites, except for lunar new year holidays. Even though 1wtc is a complex build, the labouring hours the men are willing to put in is what really counts. You could sprout a whole new city complete with dozens of skyscrapers if you like in dubai in 6 yrs. Also minimal wages, no financing troubles, state of the economy and unions all play a factor.

In America, it would be 1000ft. However, in the rest of the word, it would be 300m. Therefore, the 992ft/302m Wells Fargo Bank Plaza in Houston would be considered an international supertall, but not an American supertall. Does that make sense?

I personally however, despite being American, prefer using meters for skyscrapers. Hope I could help

The physical dimension "meters" belongs to the International -and global- System Units, sorry...

Hi guys here's a couple of pics of the build progress from last night. I went up to the 100th floor of SWFC - Awesome! Can't wait to come back and see this completed and standing proud.

(not the best quality i'm afraid, i only have a point and shoot)

It's getting up there, I just realized yesterday that if I turn my head enough I can see the top popping out of the skyline, all the way from my office in Puxi
