I know, but people are questioning the blue skies in those current photos. It's summer.

You should I was there a few months ago. Some days, I just took a random metro to somewhere in the city and just walked back to my hostel. There are so f*king many skyscrapers everywhere You can just walk and walk for hours, and see a new skyscraper popping up around every corner. It's insane.

I'm still staying in Shanghai and I can prove. It has been the 5th or the 6th day since the weather changed for the better. Now, every day we can see blue sky and the sun. The air is really fresh.

No, this was taken from somewhere halfway up the SWFC. Jin Mao is on the right, you can see it's mall (J-LIFE).

But How? I just can't take a decent picture of it from SWFC or was it taken from a hotel or office room?

Exactly, only the observation platforms are in a wrong angle to take pictures of ST.
BTW if you put on some classy cloth (no tourist mode ) it shouldn't be a problem to get in the hotel lobby to take some pictures.

I thought you were being a smart alec
I understand THAT. And I agree, Shanghai in the summer is usually pleasant.

However, I was just pointing out that Shanghai can be overwhelmingly overcast during a large portion of the year (it's a rainy place). So yeah, I remember being ecstatic when there was a clear sunny day for the first 4 months of my time there.

Then, about mid-May to early June, after the "Plum Rains" when the weather became much more pleasant, it stopped being a surprise when I woke up and found a nice blue sky.

*Besides, Shanghai's cloudiness is a very endearing thing at times.
