Only cat 1, but that is more than enough to cause damage and stop construction.

What do you mean by "something really bad just happened"? I don't see any damage, unless I'm missing something?

The typhoon hit my home province Zhejiang first and then passing through to Innerland while diminishing itslef when it moves on land, I guess Shanghai should be OK!

Just have a look at the formwork at the top of the core.

Even if the damage isn't too serious there will probably be a delay while they check all of the cranes etc haven't been compromised in any way.

Thank you for the pictures, very nice skyline but... This picture proving how polluted is Shanghai´s river, do you think something can be done about it in future?

The tower is certainly getting big now, can't wait to see more cladding!
I hope the wind damage wasn't too serious.

The River's name Huang-Pu River/黄浦江 which means "Yellow(Huang) Something(i am not sure what 'Pu' mean) River" in Chinese tells us clearly the river was always yellow even before the industralization. BTW, the colour of Yarra River in Melbourne looks only slightly better than Huangpu River, especially today after the heavy rain!!!
