Wow, I can't believe how huge it is!
I remember when it was starting, and just the core looked the size of a fairly large apartment block, and that was just the core!
Now, even with the floors in and outer cladding starting, it is starting to look quite thin, and it is only just over halfway there!

Lovely diagram Culwulla as always, what have you done with the support columns though?
I'm sorry, I don't know the height.

you can find great diagrams for finished buildings on skyscraperpage.com, for construction update diagrams culwulla has really great once as seen above. the one by truhl is good, but just outdated, still gives a pretty good comparision between the two buildings.

The correct, because Shanghai Tower has eight belt trusses, not nine so estimating hight by position between belt trusses when you have wrong number of them is misleading.

yeah culwullas diagram has 9 trustbelts, maybe that is why his estimated height is below 330m although people thought it was above.

I havent been to Shanghai but judging from those photos it looks like it has a very unorganized layout. It also it not too densly built like New york.

trust me on this Shanghai is dense. Pudong, where the financial district isn't - but the whole Puxi side of the river is carpeted with dense lowrises and endless highrises.
