You're selling in the wrong city mate. You need to go to bedrock and ask for fred and barney.

Wow about 100 feet to go for the core to be taller than Jin Mao. This should be the tallest structure in Shanghai by Spring!

specifically in which month shall the core become taller than the 492 m World Financial Centre?

jin mao very soon considering it is already at 350m.

let's say the core is at 350m now
and on may 29th Shanghai Tower broke the 300m mark.

that would be 107 days for about 50m.

that means about 52 days until it reaches jin mao's height (4th november 2012)
and 303 days until it reaches SWFC's height (13th july 2013)

the speed may get slower towards the end though. and i am not sure if the 350m now is accurate at all, maybe it is taller, then it would take less time

but for a basic idea when it happens, this shall work. jin mao in about one and a half months. and SWFC in summer 2013

There's a short mention and display of ST in BBC's 'a day in shanghai' video.
I know BBC sucks, but still if you care to see.

03:35 into the video
