Looks like about 80m on the diagram.

Yeah, I believe the highest floor is just over 1,800 feet.

The glass facede looks very good. I like the internal cladding as well. It is now much better visible, with the pics above.

I cannot believe that this is only about 2/3 up.
Is there such a thing as reverse vertigo? Because those pictures gave me that.

It's got another 6 or 7 floors to go before it's even that.

Cracking pics lowai and kanye, that interior cladding looks great. It won't be too long before this section is done inside and out, then we will really get a good idea of what it will look like when it's complete.

Great pictures! Can't believe this is now taller than the Empire State Building.

People still use the Empire State Building to judge height?

As far as I know isn't it the tallest building in the world?

I've never participated in this thread but... Where did you red that? Empire State was the tallest building in the world until Willis tower in Chicago surpassed it, after that 19 towers to the date have surpassed the Emire state.

ESB is probably the closest building in height that has historical significance. I don't see why people don't think it's that tall now compared to newer supertalls. It's still a massive building to be reckoned with.

Everyone forgets about the WTC.

I think that after these new buildings are built, especially the proposed ones, there will be a new era of skyscraper measuring systems.

WTC is occasionally, but talk about 40 Wall Street. Almost every book I read clames Chrysler surpassed Woolworth. Poor 40 Wall...

The tower is about 2/4 done, and the cladding is going up... I remember seeing there not even being any skyscrapers there.... It grows so fast, doesn't it?

One thing I am still waiting for is a building to surpass the square feet of Sears. SWFC is the only thing standing that comes close. Shanghai Tower looks like it could possibly do it. Does anyone know what this building's square footage is?

I just looked at a World Book Encyclopedia the other day that was printed right around 2000, and I saw Pudong's skyline in it. Pearl Tower and Jin Mao was it. Literally. It's awesome to see the development here.
