A ferris wheel should not be so close to the skyline but they can really think of building taller & slimmer tower in a near future.Let hope so!

I know, however the 'three tall buildings' plan (or whatever it's called) that includes the Jin Mao (past), SWFC (present) and Shanghai Tower (future) is more of an aesthetics plan in my opinion.

I hope that Lujiazui does in fact grow due to natural demands and growing population from rural to urban areas. This will create a more dense environment I hope. I don't like saying this and comparing - but an example would be Hong Kong Island. It's forced to build up and denser due to the limited space and number of people, and this has created not just an efficient and needed cluster of skyscrapers, but a beautiful and impressive skyline.

If Shanghai had a similar path for Lujiazui and instead of having strict, clean, planning with lots of green parks and spaces, they had more denser and pedestrian friendly streets and highrises, it would be incredible imo.

Little universe thats an excellent array of photos,, HD and supercool,, For my opinion,, rather than a ferris wheel, how bout an extra lg arch like St. Louis Missouri has,, as a gateway,, to best cluster of skyscrapers in the world.

how about some 300m "filler" buildings, would not really disturb the look of these three icons. or at least a few more ~250m buildings like the two shanghai IFC towers there. i don't like to be able to look through between so many buildings

The shorter buildings(50-100m) should have been towards the front and the taller ones (200-300m) behind the three giants. Then you get some sort of back up.

What we have now is lots of tall buildings in the front blocking all the normal sized buildings at the back and only parts of the big three are seen.

I agree, 'filler' buildings would make it seem so much more dense

Yes, that's what missing there. A few towers between 300m and 350m.
