well you'll have to conceptualize what you mean by tower...
if you mean anything 300m+, then yeah probably a few hundred.
if you're including high rises as well, anything more than 13-15 storeys, then you'll quickly end up in the thousands.

A few hundred supertalls?? As far as I know there's only these three plus the Shanghai pearl.

I think he meant "200m+".
But even that number would be too high, since most of those residentials are shorter than 200m.
