Why should they install the outer cladding first? Because when they designed the inner facade, they didn't consider the wind load. Simple.

you probably mean the inner cladding .

Until now they've installed the outer cladding first, followed by the inner cladding .

What I love about the 3 is they're so completley different from one another,, Jin Mao, is awesome, then I look at SWFC, Then ST.. It's hard to like either of them more,, the height is what a lot of ppl do,, But damn JinMao is Awesome in it's own skin.. I Like ST because of it's height, but I'd probably like SWFC MORE, if it were to be 2100ft,,

Jin Mao now and forever

The other two just lacks something that Jin Mao does.

Jin Mao is like the Petronas, its hard to replace for those cities

I think I would love ShanghiWorld Financial if it were to be higher than ST... But I wouldn't know 4 sure till I see all 3 Up Close,,, JinMao's Outter is just so damn cool, SWFC"s Is just so Modern, sleek and Incredible,, ST Just seems like it towers any other Skyscraper in the World.. To me they are just so unique, if the ? was asked I'd have to say the Tower, due to it's height,, but love JinMao's skin..

Right now SWFC is by far my favourite of the three, but I'll see how ST turns out.

Jin Mao is Shanghai's Chrysler Building. Taller towers will continue to go up but this beauty will never get old.

Btw nice progress, can't believe it already hit the 400m mark, crazy speed.

three styles of tower from each decade

1990s pomo Jin Mao harking back to bygone eras

2000s post-pomo SWFC with its nod to clean cut modernism

2010s Shanghai Tower and its organic futurism
