Magnificent tower. Already makes huge impression. I think it may be the best scyscraper when completed.

I'm sure most Chinese members have seen this over the past several days. If a basic construction worker (brick layer) can make about $1000 a month (with weekend overtime, of course). I wonder if the more skilled workers working on projects such as ST will make whole lot more than that.

10k a month is equivalent to what a new graduate can get working in an investment bank after 2-3 years, so its not bad...

Aren't construction workers (even not very highly skilled) usually paid well anyway? The only problem is that it's hard (physical) work which may be dangerous and, most importantly, extremely dependent on construction market and condition of the economy. Once having lost their job due to unfavorable situation in the market those poeple may have it hard time finding a new one. I would say $1000 a month including weekend overtime even for an unskilled construction worker in Shanghai sounds like not too much.

Hope, It'll never happen. The building is stunning and adds much to the diversity of Lujiazui skyline.

I think it would fit in nicely, IF they change the color, work on the facade, anything to help it flow with it's surroundings.. the color is what makes it look so out of place, and needs to go.

Gorgeous shot! Will they finally cover the open slots in the mechanical floor cladding, or is this the final look?

$1000 a month for a construction worker in China sounds very unrealistic to me..
