looks like the braces for the cranes will be as wide as the side of the new core. How are
they going to attach them?

OT ON
Hi all,
I'm new and I understand that a new forumer posting a link at his second post may look suspect ...... but I can assure you I'm a genuine fan of skyscrapers just like you all and the link I posted is a genuine video about ST that I found on a Chinese equivalent of Youtube. I myself watched the video and my pc is still running fine.
Anyway, Nordschleife can grant I'm a genuine enthusiast and not a spammer neither a malware spreader.
Love this forum and I've been reading it for months before registering.
Best regs all ....... OT OFF

Lol, so we all feel somewhat badly for Jin Mao, but when you think about it, could anybody ever imagine what the trilogy would look like without it? If SWFC and ST were there without Jin Mao, I'm pretty sure everyone would think it looked weird.

ST core rising non-stop last few days. The steel top is 414-415 m. now.
Next week I expect crane jump and attack Jin Mao-s height.
Chinese New Year begins in February 2013.
Maybe wе will see the sixth trust belt and core height between 450-470 m.

If not 24/7 then pretty close too it. I have certainly seen welding going on inside the structure well into the small hours.

The only time I have really seen them stop is for national holidays and extreme weather like Typhoons.

I see, the reason I asked was because I thought they don't work 24/7 but I was passing by it a few weeks ago around mid night and saw truck traffic there.

The sixth truss belt is close to come .....
Also noticed that internal and external cladding is now progressing at the same pace, whilst in the first section they cladded the whole outer skin before cladding the internal facade.
Is there any reason why they now changed the cladding procedure?

I noticed the same thing... no clue as to why they changed the procedure. Maybe the inner cladding arrived at the site after the outer cladding?

The inner cladding is called inner for reason, it cannot withstand extreme wind load, so it should be installed later. I guess it's winter so they assume it would be OK to install it one step ahead.
