That could be a days job to keep that updated.
I would stop with a ranking list, because it changes amost every week and move to a classifiaction in height, like in the updates section
(0-100, 100-200, 200-300 and >300 meter)

yes, it's just a matter of a few hours to update it. but indeed, the ranking-list needs much updates because of the massive amount of new towers all the time. i would make a list just for supertalls and the rest sorted by continent like it is at the moment.

Wouldn't it make sense to change "world development news forums" to "skyscraper discussion" or something, then have a "Completed Supertalls", "U/C Supertalls" and "proposed/On Hold Supertalls" sections, then the same for skyscrapers, highrises etc.
I wonder if this could be done when it becomes necessary to add a megatall section.

As for the tower, this will easily be the most amazing skyscraper in the world, and with two other supertalls, it is even more amazing!

I think a completed section is good. The DN archives is like sending the thread to the bin. This is a real shame because some of the new towers are really impressive. I think a completed section motivates people to put updates of these towers after it gets complete and to see how it looks when in use, ie people/car/lights.

No need a Megatall section because there aren't many under construction. I'd prefer a full looking supertall list to two half full lists

Since we're on the topic of threads at the moment here, yeah, I'd figure an archived but not purged section would be good for buildings that are completed that we'd still like to look back on as opposed to being deleted outright.

When you go 600 m up, there could be interesting differences in weather, especially during winter.
The temperature can drop by more than 5°C.

According to SkyscraperPage.com that is a fantasy design. It would fit in with Shanghai's other architecture nicely, though I'd make it a bit skinnier.

But is OPT's IS spire higher than that of Jin Mao, right?

It seems to be high enough to snow at the top and rain at the bottom

Quite early isn't it? I though that was supposed to start when the tower was much higher, at least when the next core setback is.
