My Favorite Supertalls in Shanghai are Shanghai World Financial Center and Shanghai Tower.

Thanks, i caught the tail of SWFC construction i think. Jinmao was way too early. Unfortunately i only get to live there for a few months every year and not everyday the weather/air quality is good enough for me to see lujiazui clearly.

One thing i remember though, i watched tomorrow square rise when i was a kid from my old old apartment's balcony. Because of its weird crown and the lighting scheme, i was very afraid of it, it gave me a sense of evilness.

On topic, love those pics little universe, love the colour...

I always thought that Tomorrow Square could be the perfect super villain HQ.

Taken last week from the SWFC observation deck. ST is approximately 3 or 4 metres below eye level and I am 2 metres tall standing at 474 metre level. About 470-471m as of last week.

You're Chinese and 2 metres tall.
You can guess the height using the horizon, but I see that is kinda hard in Shanghai.

Currently in Shanghai. I think due to Chinese New Year work has been halted for these days on the tower. No movement the whole day and at night it was pitch dark....

On the pic it looks the core is taller than eye level. But from that pic it's difficult to say.

He is talking about the steel of the sixth trus belt, which is indeed going not so fast. Because the workers have a few days off for Chinese new year.

Yes, it will be 164 m taller. And that is if you count the antenna of the Oriental Pearl Tower.

Some of the best pics of the forum on pg 693,, So the Chinese new year is 7 days? Well guess they can use a break this SOB is flying high, and it does look like the cranes are above SWFC,, but maybe he was on observation level, below the Trapezoid, I think there's 1 below the trapezoid and 2 obs floors above the trapezoid, but heard it costs twice as much to get to the Top obs deck I heard the roof opens on the very top of SWFC. Can't go out there but you are able to see straight up, (which really doesn't do anygood at all.

It wasn't. I could see the top of the core whilst there.

I am also not Chinese.

This is going to be such a beautiful tower! I'm amazed how far high they got already...

I wonder what is next for Shanghai after this, I mean in terms of supertalls. That area seems to be filled when this tower is completed.

Well filled, every tower has it's own plot. Not the density other places such as Chicago has.
