Cloudpiercer,

Gensler actually chose a 120° twist because it was optimal for reducing wind loading, as described on page 6 of this PDF: http://www.gensler.com/uploads/docum...12_22_2010.pdf

I personally really like that amount of twist! Any more or less would look unbalanced to me.

it's NOT a 3D, topped out already
Actually that is a 180 degree turn, not 360 degrees.

Those are the mechanical floors.

Which do you prefer, which is taller, and which would look better than the Oriental PT? I think the TST would look great where Oreiental is,,, Now doesn't mean I would hate to see it gone.. I just wish it were 1/2 mile to the east or to the west of that masssive cluster.. Not quite impressed with Canton Tower there..

Ryzdans,,,And I can't take credit for that pic,, I'm quite sure it belongs to Tim 1807, as well as the photoshops....

Wow, it looks like Battlefield 4 has a scene in Shanghai and it looks like Shanghai Tower is finished in the game.

Watch 16m41s guys.

True, they may push it (observation deck not the tower) higher to claim the title, but the fact alone that tower almost twice as tall is competing with st for that title is mind boggling Anyway at least at this point st is at lead

TST is to the top 634m, CT is to the top 600m and OPT is to te top 468m. Of these three imo Canton tower is the best, but for Shanghai OPT is just better. and yes, I made the photoshops, that's why they are not so good. I used a pic from post 14090.
