What the @#%! is going on here? The CTBUH says Shanghai Tower is topped out already. I always thought they were the authority on tall buildings. Don't they look at construction photos before releasing a big news story?

yeah they kind of derped, by not metioning it is only the core that topped out. Shanghai Tower also went to topped out in the database for a moment.

i hope they'll bring down that formwork soon to start with the crown. the real topping out of this at 632m will be a great moment .

Saw Shanghai in Apple's Iphone latest commercial,, looked awesome shows an unfinished ST,, must have released it soon as the sucker was topped out..Not on you tube yet.. But saw it on NBC around 8 EST..

No, of course. Shanghai itself is very dense and high-rise. So it's hard to see it from everywhere.

Hey everyone, a while ago I posted that I will visit Shanghai for the month. Well I've finally settled down and ready for some photos

To my surprise, my grandparents' apartment has an excellent view of Lujiazui. It had been scotching hot and hazy the last few days. Here is the best I can do with my phone at the moment. I will take out my camera into Lujiazui when the weather turns better.

No, actually it is quite visible around Shanghai, especially around Pudong. You will be able to catch a glimpse of ST even on the streets.
