there were a few other very nice designs for sure. but also some pretty weird imo where i'm happy they didn't choose one of them

Well, the roof topped out, so I'd say 1841 feet is the height of the core.

And by the way, I think the cladding has come to a stop. If it hasn't stopped, it's WAY too slow for a Chinese megatall. I guess they just want to finish the steel skeleton, but that doesn't appear to be going anywhere near fast, either. But I hope there's some kind of construction going on, or else this thing's on hold.

Well, I guess early next year, because they have I guess a half a year to do the interior, and considering this is a Chinese supertall, I guess that the skeleton will reach the top of the core somewhere in October. Then they'll have 4 months to do the crown, I guess, so they'll finish it by Feburary.

I could be way off, though.

A few years ago I visited Shanghai because of my work and I remember going up there. At that time it didn't have any competition except for the ugly ball.
